HAPPY NEW YEAR even if it is too late
Every year we make Christmas cards. Last year I drew a robin in the style of Romero Britto.
We sent the drawing off to get printed this is how it turned out
And for my thank you card I did a flower in the same style
For Christmas I got a great book to make felt mascots its really helpful and easy to make. From my fab aunt.
Thanks Aunt!
I made this monkey from the book, I think it turned out well. I might make the rabbit next, that is on the front page.
At school, I'm doing GCSE textiles and art. I have drawn an A grade tone and pencil piece of work in art, so my teacher says. This is part of the first final piece I have done on the subject 'structures'. I guess, you can guess what it is.
It was me, who drew it.
Sorry it's been so long, I guess I will have to be updating it from now on.

WOW Em! That tortoise is fantastic - I'm not surprised that your teacher says it is an A grade! And you know how much I love those Britto inspired pictures - the colours and patterns and designs are fabulous!
I'm really glad you like the Cute book - your monkey is great. I'll have to show you Dot's bunny (like the front cover) and Munkee made from the Cute Dolls book.
Meanwhile can you ask my big sis what DB stands for - surely it can't mean Dear Boss!?!?!

Emma - I just showed your work to my daughter (known as No.1) - she goes to the same school as you, and her response was 'oh wow - those are fab!' I very much hope she'll be following in your footsteps in the Art/Textiles line (though at the moment Art/ICT is her thing - she loves graphics on the pc). I still haven't forgotten the offer the school made for me to study textiles, and this post has made my mouth water. I am SO going to do it!
Keep up the brilliant work.

That's all so fantastic - talent obviously runs in the blood up in Locket Land. Your cards are beautiful and as to the tortoise, I'd frame him!
I love your cards Emma and the one printed up into a Christmas card is fab!
Your tortoise is beautiful and I agree with Michaela - it should be framed.
Good to see your Mum is keeping the blog going bu delegating to you - keep up the good work :-)

Hi Emma,
I love your christmas card designs, they look so professional! My favourite thing though, has to be that tiny monkey - so sweet!!
:)
Your cards are brilliant - very professional (and I should know as I sell them!) The tortoise is very realistic.
